- Oversee the operation of all employment and day support programs in a safe, healthy, and financially sustainable manner and ensure exceptional service delivery experience for persons served using person-centered thinking and planning.
- Engage and cultivate individual donors, funders, provider partnerships, corporate sponsors in order to increase support for programs.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and management of all support staff, implementing all required procedures including but not limited to developmental supports, recognition, addressing performance issues, and annual staff evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Program, Workforce, and Business Development teams on new program designs and business lines to achieve sustainable programatic growth.
- Ensure that compliance and performance indicators relative to the organizational programs are developed, refined, and effectively performed on a consistent basis.
Additional Responsibilities
- Review program monthly to ensure all programmatic and budget outcomes are met.
- Maintain familiarity with guidelines for local Community Services Boards, Vocational Rehabilitation, awarded grants, Medicaid Waiver and other funding sources to ensure compliance with such guidelines.
- Establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with diverse businesses, and complex state, local, and nonprofit entities toward the goal of success for all programs.
- Have thorough understanding of CARF standards and ensure supervised staff provide quality services that align with the standards.
- Ensure that the vocational and non-vocational needs of the individuals served are being met, and monitor services being provided by assigned personnel.
- Assist in identifying when additional resources are needed by service participants to successfully meet personal goals and communicate with support network, revising individual's plan.
- Meet corporate goals for program revenue.
- Participate in self-directed continual learning regarding regulatory compliance, rehabilitation support services, current needs in the labor market, and emerging trends and resources.
- Maintain positive partnerships with referral partners, employers, resources, and community organizations to develop opportunities for individuals with job seekers.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in a human service field including, but not limited to, sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation engineering, counseling, or psychology, or a provider who had documented equivalent qualifications
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a human service field.
- Required: Ten (10) years' experience in the field, and five (5) years in supervision.
- Must pass State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) fingerprinting and criminal background check.
- Must pass the ODD (Orientation to Developmental Disabilities) assessment and competencies.
- Employees who drive individuals in the community or on behalf of the company must possess a current and valid driver's license. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR). Driving requirements vary by site.
- If eligible to drive, must pass the online driving training within 15 days of hire.

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must be able to work well with people internally and externally at all levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to become familiar with corporate specific programs and software
