Role Description

The Senior Manager, BioDevice Field Services (SMBFS) role will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and managing all technical and mechanical responsibilities of the BioDevice business within assigned region. The SFSM will lead a team of Field Service Managers. The main responsibilities will be to ensure all BioDevice Customers receive "Best In-Class" service and support while managing regional P&L. This must be achieved through effective Leadership, coaching, and development of a team of Field Colleagues. Their goal will be to acquire and retain top talent while sustaining our ranking as a Best in Class Field Service Program. The (SMBFS) will report to the Director of BioDevice Field Services.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage BioDevice customer expectations and needs.
  • Manage a team of BioDevice Field Service Managers that is Customer Focused.
  • Must have the ability to function in team atmosphere with understanding of how to leverage key personnel to meet customer needs.
  • Lead and Organize troubleshooting efforts in resolution of process issues at customer's site.
  • Ensure all team members and customers are understanding and following critical In Ovo procedures and processes required for optimal vaccination efficacy.
  • Provide service/support to achieve BioDevice sales targets as assigned.
  • Manage the BioDevice Field Service Programs for an assigned area of the US.
  • Manage the overall financial expenses as it relates to the business for the assigned area. This should be done by using key financial and operational data to monitor performance and improve cost efficiencies within the region.
  • Conduct frequent ride alongs with reporting personnel in order to improve the day-to-day operations within the assigned area. This person will also spend time with other Field Service Managers, Zoetis Poultry headquarters staff, and customers as needed.
  • Oversee the execution of the Zoetis Process Evaluation Program.
  • Lead all communication for Field Service Activities within their assigned area.
  • Manage the routine collection and reporting of information within Zoetis CRM System
  • Coordinate the execution of an established Field Service Program across an assigned area.
  • Plan and coordinate effective training classes and educational sessions on safety, personal development and devices for reporting personnel.
  • Implement effective procedures for all subordinates in safety, mechanical, electrical, and hatchery environment processes.
  • Provide regular feedback of customer derived information evaluating our services and other pertinent client/vendor information to US Sales & Service management. Initiate changes where appropriate
  • Develop and implement Improvement Plans for assigned group of colleagues.
  • Plan and coordinate appropriate Engineering Change Notifications (ECN's) for the assigned area.
  • Establish standards for baseline functions and instill flexibility in region to customize according to customer operating criteria and preferences.
  • Guide the development and testing of new devices, components and procedures designed to improve the operation, reliability or convenience of all systems.
  • Develop and lead all equipment installations across the US.
  • As our business expands into other areas, the Sr. Manager BioDevice Field Services will be tasked with establishing new Service Programs to support the growth.
  • Lead the recruiting and hiring of all new colleagues for their assigned region.
  • Key role in the mentoring, coaching and the development of assigned colleagues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in poultry science or related field preferred.
  • Normally requires greater than 10 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management required.

  • Basic computer skills using Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proven skills in interpreting and communicating Hatchery Air Plating Program results.
  • Proven Mechanical Aptitude
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of work is done in a hatchery where exposure to a potentially hazardous environment is possible.
  • Heat and humidity above average is common.
  • Available for unsocial work hours
  • Lift more than 25 pounds
  • Travel 60-80% of the time.
