Responsibilities


We are HIRING! We are looking for a Digital Services Technical Lead will have the technical skills to drive innovation and collaboration between diverse teams of Software Developers, AWS Site Reliability Engineers, Automation Engineers, Testing Engineers, Network Engineers, Database Engineers, Cloud Operations Engineers, Tools Engineers, Application Developers, and Security experts.

As a Digital Services Technical Leader, you will lead initiatives and build processes to advocate for modern software practices through a DevSecOps Methodology.

Key job responsibilities

    Be a key technical leader to drive maturity of current software development and continuous delivery of highly visible applications.
  • Proven track record in senior consulting or advisory roles, driving strategic change and digital adoption across multiple business units.
  • Expertise in overseeing and implementing a broad range of technology transformation initiatives, especially those involving artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions.
  • Understand the technical and business environment to be able to assess the true impact and risks and be able to quickly provide executive level communication regarding the status of an event.
  • Responsible for responding to RFIs and drafting technical approach responses that align to our roadmap and strategic agenda.
  • Provide accountability and responsibility for the digital services initiatives and lead other resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Technical skills using modern tools and observability metrics to identify and troubleshoot recurring enterprise or cloud platform issues and own initiatives to drive improvements.
  • Monitor and manage communications during high impact events via relevant channels.
  • Prioritize, manage, and own emerging and developing customer issues from start to finish.
  • Utilize enterprise domain expertise on monitoring and alerting tools & practices.
  • Identify areas where standardization of process will aid incident response.
  • Ensure standards are maintained within the technical engineering teams.
  • Identify inefficiencies in team process and create plans to address them.
  • Set the foundation for success by creating a standard approach for how our data, systems, and new technologies like AI and digital dashboards connect and work together, including tools for managing data, finances, design, equipment, and project progress.
  • Create and review documentation as appropriate such as documentation for incident events and actions taken, root cause analysis and actions needed, design new standard procedures for mitigations, etc.
  • Participate in Agile sprints to evolve business processes, technologies, and drive optional improvements.
  • Manage the workload and performance of other resources, both employees and subcontractors.


Qualifications

Required SKills:

  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • At least 10 years of experience building/operating on AWS, networking, IT Security tools, databases and tools
  • Hands-on technical expertise in DevSecOps, security, automation, application development, databases, implementation, integration, and release management.
  • Real world experience with establishing and maturing application development and CICD towards progressive delivery.
  • Ability to work with Terraform for infrastructure as code solutions.
  • Strong understanding of identity access management roles, permissions, etc.
  • Experience in using tools in an AWS Cloud environment (CloudWatch, OpenSearch) and security tools security tools such as Aqua, DLP, etc.)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS) including spring boot-based container services.
  • Experience with Gitlab CICD including enabling environments, feature flags, and DORA Metrics aggregation.
  • Experience with tools to be used during real time monitoring, alerting, diagnostics during incident.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Datadog.
  • Coding proficiency in at least one software language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby).
  • Must be a self-starter and able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level - with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to support a 24/7 environment and work off hours for issues or changes.
  • Strong analytical acumen, solid technology experience, business judgment, and an ability to dive deep to solve complex problems.
  • Must have the leadership presence and communication skills to effectively work with customers at all levels of their organization.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally complex technical matters clearly and concisely
  • Possess a passion and desire for leading the resolution of critical incidents.
  • Ability to manage communication for critical incidents in an impromptu manner and ensure detailed technical solutions are actioned, assigned with timelines resulting in timely resolutions.
  • Ability to facilitate multi-stakeholder technical root cause sessions, provide a roadmap for future changes and lead the implementation of those changes.
  • Experience with PaaS (Platform as a Service) environments.
  • Knowledge of network administration and management principles.
  • Familiarity with remote access software including SFTP, RDP (Citrix) and PCoIP/DCV (AWS Workspaces) (AWS Session Manager) protocols.
  • AWS Solutions Architect - Professional
  • AWS Certified Security - Specialty Certification
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be abale to obtain and maintain the requied agency clearance.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
