As the Contact Center Representative, you will answer incoming calls from community members in Maricopa County and efficiently provide correct information, transferring them or finding answers to their questions regarding the Supervisors, Treasurer, Assessor, and Recorder (Elections) departments.

About Us

The mission of the STAR (Supervisors Treasurer Assessor Recorder) Contact Center is to provide knowledgeable, courteous and efficient information to all incoming telephone questions to the Recorder, Elections, Treasurer, Assessor, and to assist callers to the County Switchboard. With access to these multiple departments and their data, the Customer Service Representatives can answer nearly every question in a single call, including questions concerning ownership, assessed value, and property tax. Bilingual agents are also available.

We Require

  • Two years of Administrative and/or clerical experience, including at least six months of call center experience
  • High school diploma or GED Certificate
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and job-related experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

We Also Value

  • Call center experience working with voter registration, mortgage, title, or independent property assessment companies
  • Call Center experience working with a county Treasurer, Assessor, or Recorder's office

Job Contributions

  • Receive calls that require skilled communication and accurate information based on polices, guidelines, and directives of each Agency represented
  • Act as a communication facilitator between the public, call center management, and the Agencies
  • Communicate and process information to the Lead or Supervisor when necessary

Working Conditions

  • The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

  • Requires long periods of sitting while completing computer activities
