Summary:

Guidelight is seeking an Instructional Designer who can translate complex clinical, operational, and compliance content into high-quality, effective learning experiences that drive real behavior change and on-the-job performance.This individual must be able to take raw or unstructured input from subject matter experts and transform it into well-designed eLearning and job aids that are clear, actionable, and aligned to how employees actually perform in their roles. A critical component of this role is designing with intention, ensuring content supports skill adoption, reinforces decision-making, and leads to measurable improvements in performance. This role requires a strong foundation in instructional design best practices and the ability to independently apply learning science to create meaningful, engaging training, not just assemble content. While L&D leadership will provide guidance on strategy and priorities, this individual will work independently to execute on instructional design fundamentals and consistently produce high-quality learning experiences that meet organizational standards.

Additionally, the Instructional Designer will be a cross-collaborator, working closely with senior leadership and functional stakeholders, requiring strong communication, professionalism, and customer service skills. They must be able to navigate feedback, ask thoughtful questions, and guide stakeholders toward effective learning solutions.In addition to design responsibilities, this role includes maintaining content within the LMS (Docebo), ensuring learning is properly structured, assigned, and accessible to learners.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop eLearning content using Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline) based on provided outlines, source materials, and learning objectives.
  • Apply foundational instructional design principles, including adult learning theory, cognitive load considerations, and Bloom's Taxonomy.
  • Support the design of scenario-based learning experiences that reinforce real-world application (e.g., clinical, operational workflows).
  • Write clear, measurable learningobjectives aligned to desired behavior and performance outcomes.
  • Build knowledge checks and assessments that align to learningobjectives and support evaluation of learner understanding.
  • Translate subject matter expert (SME) input into structured, learner-centered content using established instructional design frameworks (e.g., ADDIE).
  • Create job aids, facilitator guides, and supporting materials to reinforce learning in clinical and operational settings.
  • Upload, organize, andmaintainlearning content within the LMS (Docebo), including course setup and learning plan alignment.
  • Schedule and manage Instructor-Led Trainings (ILTs) and Virtual Instructor-Led Trainings (VILTs) inDocebo.
  • Edit and update existing courses to improve clarity, engagement, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand standards, tone, accessibility (WCAG basics), and compliance expectations.
  • Support rapid development timelines across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Collaborate with L&D leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support training initiatives.


Required Qualifications:



  • 1-3 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline).
  • Experience working within an LMS (Docebo experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foundational knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Exposure to instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, or Agile learning approaches).
  • Experience designing scenario-based learning or case-based training.
  • Familiarity with Bloom's Taxonomy and writing measurable learning objectives.
  • Exposure to assessment design and evaluation methods (e.g., Kirkpatrick Levels 1-4).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Strong writing, editing, and content organization skills.
  • Ability to follow established templates, frameworks, and design standards.

$60,000 $80,000 USD
