We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in conventional loan processing and hands-on experience reviewing loan documentation, clearing conditions, and supporting underwriting activities. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced mortgage environment. Key Responsibilities * Review loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines * Analyze credit reports to assess borrower creditworthiness * Review and validate income and asset documentation in accordance with underwriting guidelines * Clear loan conditions and ensure all required documentation is obtained in a timely manner * Review supporting documents such as titles, appraisals, and disclosures * Communicate effectively with loan officers, underwriters, and internal partners to resolve issues and move files forward * Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized loan files * Stay current on conventional loan processing guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations Qualifications * Previous experience as a Loan Processor, Junior Underwriter, or related role preferred * Working knowledge of conventional mortgage loan products * Strong understanding of credit reports, income calculations, and asset analysis * Ability to calculate and analyze borrower income and assets (training provided, but prior exposure required) Required Skills * Mortgage and mortgage loan processing * Loan processing and underwriting support * Income and asset analysis Preferred Skills & Experience * Associate's degree or equivalent work experience * 1-3+ years of relevant experience in financial services or mortgage industry (preferred) * General understanding of underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements * Prior experience reviewing titles and appraisals * Strong loan processing experience; junior underwriter experience is a plus Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.
