Security Technician Ready to level up your security career? We're looking for a skilled Security Technician who enjoys handson work, solving problems in the field, and delivering great customer experiences. If you have experience with IP cameras, access control, or fire alarm systems and enjoy working with both residential and commercial customers, this could be a great fit for you. In this role, you'll work with modern security technology, have a company vehicle and gas card, and be trusted to independently manage installs, service calls, and customer interactions. What You'll Be Doing * Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain security systems at residential and commercial sites * Work handson with: * CCTV and surveillance cameras * Access control systems and card readers * Burglar and fire alarm systems * Wireless and hardwired keypads * DVRs and IP-based systems * Diagnose issues with alarm panels, wiring, and devices and make repairs as needed * Perform preventative maintenance to keep systems running smoothly * Program and test systems to ensure everything is working properly * Train customers on how to use their systems confidently * Provide friendly, professional onsite support and ensure customer satisfaction * Accurately document work performed, parts used, and service notes * Communicate with coordinators or managers on open jobs, service tickets, and inspections * Participate in an on-call rotation as needed * Follow safety guidelines and company procedures at all times * Stay up to date with new technology and industry developments Vehicle & Equipment * Company vehicle provided * Company gas card included * Truck inventory issued * You'll be responsible for tracking parts used and keeping inventory organized What We're Looking For * Prior experience installing or servicing security systems * Strong skills in at least one area: * Security systems * Fire alarm systems * Video surveillance * Access control * Comfortable working independently but also collaborating with a team * Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic schematics * Excellent communication skills and attention to detail * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Ability to lift equipment and work at heights using ladders or scissor lifts * Previous experience in the fire or security industry is a big plus Preferred Technical Experience * Experience with systems such as: * Honeywell * DMP * Axis * Speco * Linear * DSC * Handson work with: * Glass breaks * Motion detectors * Door and window contacts * CCTV systems * Experience replacing batteries, upgrading hardware, and updating system components * Prewiring experience in existing homes or new construction Skills That Will Help You Succeed * Security systems installation and service * CCTV and IP camera systems * Fire alarm systems * Access control * Lowvoltage wiring * Troubleshooting and diagnostics * Customerfacing service experience Customer Service Matters Here You'll interact with multiple customers every day, so a positive attitude and strong customer service skills are a must. Clear communication, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work with customers, vendors, and internal teams are key to success in this role.
