Provides assistance and support to the technologist and to the department the Hospital Assistant II is assigned. As an integral part of the imaging team, assist and support the department assigned, to include the following:* Prepare patient for exam. Change patient.* Assist technologist in room turnover and cleaning of equipment* Provide transportation for patients to and from the department of radiology* Assist patient onto to the imaging table when necessary* Auditing and distribution of supplies and linen.* Transport of equipment or lab specimens when required.* Heightening awareness and practice of department safety policies including MR and radiation safety. The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Required

  • High School graduation and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays if necessary.

Preferred

  • Prefer previous experience in a hospital acute care setting or imaging center.
  • BLS - CPR certified
  • ARRT certified

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
