Under the supervision of the Program Director, in partnership with the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH), the candidate will provide mentoring and support to individuals who have been recently housed in scattered site housing through the Flexible Housing Subsidy Pool Program. Clients may be struggling with one or several of the following: mental illness, substance use disorder, poverty, legal issues, discrimination, and experience in the homeless response system. The Candidate works with clients individually and in group settings with a focus on peer counseling, housing navigation and support to maintain housing. Candidate applies personal experience as a consumer of mental health services and the homeless response system. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include specialty certificate: CADC, mental health certificate, peer specialist certificate in related field) and 1 or more years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: * Acquiring knowledge of Patient Rights & Responsibilities, Joint Commission Standards, and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid regulations. Knowledge of Medical terminology, knowledge of data collection, compilation and analytical techniques Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include specialty certificate: CADC, mental health certificate, peer specialist certificate in related field) and 1 or more years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: * Acquiring knowledge of Patient Rights & Responsibilities, Joint Commission Standards, and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
