The goal of all EVS Aides is to provide a clean, comfortable and sanitary environment for patients, visitors and hospital staff, by following the EVS Seven-Step Cleaning methods. EVS Aides are expected to provide fast, efficient and high quality service to all patients, visitors, co-workers and other hospital staff. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $25.62 - $34.53 (Hourly Rate).
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or theequivalent.Ability to clean and maintain assigned areas in conformance with established procedures and standardsGood working knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods, material and proper use and care of floor machines e.g. buffers, electric or battery operated automatic scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, shampooed/scrubbing machines, regular floor stripper/scrubber, floor drier, and electric or gasoline air floor sweepersAbility to apply appropriates cleaning methods and techniques in special areas following given guidelines General knowledge of equipment needed in emergencies such as floods, disaster or firesAbility to maintain harmonious working relationship with associates, supervisor and hospital staff members The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Healthlocations
