Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Manage the collection of documents responsive to subpoenas/discovery requests, perform privilege reviews and supervise legal reviews by opposing counsel
  • Manage E-Discovery requests and act as a liaison between legal, IT, operations, and outside vendors/counsel in responding to such requests.
  • Manage and implement legal holds using Suffolk's in-house E-discovery systems.
  • Interface with HR team regarding legal issues involving labor and employment
  • Administer E-billing software and serve as liaison to E-billing service provider
  • Manage the Legal Department document management and filing systems and procedures


Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience; or 6 to 10 years related experience.
  • 2-3+ years of experience working in a law firm environment highly preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of business and managing personnel.
  • Extensive experience with legal research methods and techniques (Westlaw, LexisNexis, Loislaw, Pacer, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with computer applications used in general office settings, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management and internet search engines.
  • Working knowledge of E-discovery procedures and software (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, Summation, or similar, Procore experience a plus).
  • Construction experience helpful, but not necessary and/or required. Departmental experience necessary.


Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stands; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.

Compensation Information

Base Salary for this position is just one component of Suffolk's total compensation package. Actual salaries may be based on several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education and other qualifications.
