Position Summary

The Supplier Recovery Specialist will facilitate continuous improvements initiatives and problem resolution of quality issues / opportunities with suppliers and monitor supplier's performance against contractual obligations, scorecards and key performance indicators.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for leading recovery efforts on key supplier delivery issues, establishing governance and reporting. Conducting deep dives into constraints and guiding suppliers to resolve them.

  • Will participate in supplier site audits and/or coordinate supplier audits with a cross functional team to determine appropriateness and quality of supplier's product.

  • Will have responsibility for leading supplier recovery and risk mitigation efforts at supplier sites located anywhere in the country.

  • Will initiate vendor quality management, improvements including evaluating process capability, tracking delivery, output, and reporting of supplier performance.

  • Deploy Supplier Recovery, which may include any combination of assessments, training, quality improvements, delivery improvements, capacity improvement, lead-time reductions.

  • Lead in cross functional project teams driving improvements in on-time delivery, volatility, sub-tier management.

  • Complete root cause analysis and recommend / implement corrective actions where developed solutions will drive closure of root-cause actions.

  • Interface with all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers regarding supplier performance and improvement actions and processes. Be prepared to report out at executive levels on plans and results.

  • Work collaboratively across complex organizational structures to develop and implement systemic solutions as countermeasures to resolve chronic business performance issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field (e.g., finance, law/contract law, program management)

  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of increasingly responsible experience in contract administration or procurement

  • Supply chain, supplier quality, procurement or operations experience (manufacturing or distribution preferred)

  • Practical experience leading supplier recovery, CAPA, root cause analysis (5Why, Fishbone) and performance improvement projects

  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Excel and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems

  • Excellent stakeholder management and crossfunctional collaboration skills; ability to lead without direct authority

  • Solid project management skills; comfortable driving multiple concurrent actions

  • Clear written and verbal communication, including executive summaries and supplier escalation communications

  • Ability to travel to supplier sites up to 50% as required
