Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Workers' Comp / No-Fault Billing Specialist to support our billing operations. This role involves frequent phone communication with patients, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators, so the ideal candidate is confident on the phone, organized, and able to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times. Candidates with a background in customer service or healthcare are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities * Handle billing processes related to Workers' Compensation and No-Fault insurance claims * Make and receive outbound and inbound phone calls with patients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and employers regarding billing inquiries and claim status * Verify insurance information and ensure accurate documentation of claims * Review, submit, and follow up on claims to ensure timely reimbursement * Resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues in a timely and professional manner * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and billing records in internal systems * Communicate clearly with internal teams to address claim questions or issues * Adhere to all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required * background in customer service, healthcare, medical billing, or insurance preferred * Comfortable making frequent phone calls and speaking with a diverse patient population * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Professional demeanor with a patient-focused mindset * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Ability to multitask and manage follow-ups in a fast-paced environment * Proficiency with basic computer systems and billing software (training provided as needed) Preferred but Not Required * Experience with Workers' Compensation and/or No-Fault billing * Familiarity with medical terminology * Prior experience working in a healthcare or medical office setting Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
