Johnson County Mental Health is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Direct Care Supervisor at the The Recovery Place. This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of direct care staff at our Shawnee, Kansas location. The Supervisor hires, trains, and evaluates the performance of direct care staff and ensures uninterrupted coverage of the unit. The Direct Care Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the treatment unit, including monitoring of catering, housekeeping, and other outside services. The Direct Care Supervisor supports staff in identifying and supporting clients presenting or exhibiting symptoms of withdrawal from substances and Behavioral Health Crisis symptoms. The Supervisor provides and documents direct services to clients, as scheduled; participates in program development activities; models, teaches, and contributes to staff development; and serves as a liaison between direct care staff and clinical/supervisory staff. The schedule for this position would vary and require a rotating schedule. First review of applications will be on April 16th. Job Description Job duties includes: * Provides Leadership and Direction to Direct Care staff. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work or relevant field; two (2) years' experience working in behavioral health or relevant field; flexible availability, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. Education can substitute for experience, experience can substitute for education. Master's Degree in Social Work or relevant field; one (1) year leading, directing, supervising or coordinating the work of others; and licensed as an addiction counselor or other relevant mental health license preferred. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments/agencies in a declared emergency situation. | |||||||||||||
