Position Summary: The CNC Operator is responsible for set up, light programming of equipment, and operation of the CNC machine to mill wood products into specified shapes and dimensions with exacting attention to detail and quality at each step.
What You'll Be Doing
- Program, set up and operate the CNC machine.
- Supervises machines while they execute the task.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting basic problems
- Maintain accurate records for production processes, parts tracking, and end product completions
- Maintain work area, organized and orderly, ensuring compliance with the company's safety and health regulations.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of CNC machinery and other woodworking equipment
- Be familiar with running PB (Particle Board) and MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) through the CNC machine
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and detail sheets.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, depth gauges, thickness gauges to check tolerances for precision alignment/fit.
- Basic computer, software knowledge.
- Strong, basic math skills.
- Ability to solve problems regarding machining mistakes, unclear shop drawings, etc. in order to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to continuously check your work and understand how components will connect to complete end product avoiding downstream problems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline orientated environment.
- Possess a positive and professional attitude.
Job Details
- Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly, commensurate with experience.
- Job Type: Full-time, Schedule negotiable based on company need (with overtime as needed).

- Physical demands:
- Lifting - Employee may be required to lift weights up to 50 pounds. In the event a load weighs more than 50 pounds, team members are required to seek assistance from another team member before lifting and use proper lifting techniques.
- Push/Pulling - Push material of various sizes and weights.
- Stand/Walking - Must be able to stand approximately 100% of the work shift.
- Reaching - reach up to heights of 60 inches to position and retrieve needed materials.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving machinery in a temperature-controlled environment and includes exposure to contaminants (mainly dust). Noise level: moderate to high (appropriate PPE is provided to all employees).
