Job Description




As a Security Officer Facility Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this active role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific policies, access control procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and assist with vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow in accordance with location procedures.
  • Prepare clear reports on incidents, maintenance concerns, and policy violations, and relay important information during shift handoff to support ongoing site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
