Job Description




As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Detail in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to stay active, respond to site needs, and work with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and always acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail environment.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to store leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor customer and employee activity, report suspicious behavior, and document incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support a welcoming shopping environment by assisting with access control, monitoring high-traffic areas, and addressing security-related concerns with professionalism and courtesy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
