Job Description




As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and staff.

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe building activity, and assist with visitor and contractor screening in accordance with site expectations and post instructions.
  • Support daily operations by preparing reports, communicating clearly with tenants and staff, and following post orders related to security-related incidents, disturbances, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
