Job Summary Tax Resolution is a leading tax relief firm dedicated to helping individuals and businesses resolve complex tax issues with confidence and care. We are seeking an experienced Case Manager / Tax Resolution Specialist who combines strong client advocacy with hands-on tax preparation and case management expertise. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-touch client environment, understands IRS processes, and has experience managing tax resolution cases from intake through resolution-while also supervising and supporting other case workers. Key Responsibilities Client & Case Management * Conduct detailed client consultations to assess financial situations and eligibility for tax relief programs * Collect, analyze, and organize financial and tax documentation * Prepare and manage client tax resolution cases from onboarding through closure * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear guidance and regular case updates Tax Preparation & Resolution Support * Prepare and review individual and business tax returns as part of resolution strategies * Assist with amended returns, compliance filings, and IRS documentation as needed * Collaborate with tax preparers, enrolled agents, attorneys, and internal teams to develop effective resolution strategies * Submit and track documentation with the IRS and state tax agencies, ensuring deadlines are met Workflow, Systems & Documentation * Maintain accurate, detailed case records in IRSLogics or similar tax resolution CRM platforms * Comparable systems include: IRS Solutions, Ledger CRM, PitBullTax * Track case milestones, follow-ups, deadlines, and outcomes * Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with internal and external requirements Leadership & Collaboration * Manage and supervise a team of case workers, providing guidance, oversight, and workload support * Partner with legal, tax, and client services teams to ensure seamless case progression * Act as an advocate for clients while balancing regulatory requirements and firm policies Skills & Expertise * IRSLogics (strongly preferred) or similar tax resolution CRM experience * Tax relief and tax resolution case management * Tax preparation experience (individual and/or business returns) * Strong client communication and advocacy skills * Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail Qualifications * Experience: * 3+ years of experience in tax resolution, case management, and/or tax preparation (preferred) * Education: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience) * Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Experience with tax resolution and case management software Why Join Five Star Tax Resolution * Make a meaningful impact by helping clients resolve stressful tax situations * Collaborative, growthfocused environment * Opportunity to lead and mentor other case workers * Exposure to complex, highvalue tax resolution cases Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.
