DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will conduct research and identify the best practices in connection with the development, implementation, administration and evaluation of various bureau programs. You will prepare detailed reports and presentations on your findings, and provide recommendations for changes to appropriate parties. You will also act as the bureaus budget coordinator and provide administrative support in the preparation of our annual budget, and monitor our monthly expenditures. Additionally, you will administer the bureau's engineering services open-end contracts; serve as coordinator for the bureau's training programs and employee performance reviews (EPR); monitor workflow and communications telephone, email, and written correspondence; and manage the bureau director's calendar and travel arrangements. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
