Serves as project lead for the compilation, analysis and preparation of financial and statistical information in support of accounting and financial analysis of FedEx companies, including consolidated reporting and/or reporting in compliance with SEC rules and regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as project lead for the compilation, analysis and preparation of financial and statistical information in support of accounting and financial analysis of FedEx companies.

  • Consolidated reporting and/or reporting in compliance with SEC rules and regulations.

  • Provide interpretation and support to users of financial statements.

  • Lead projects related to the design and enhancement of financial reporting systems.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description:

Serves as a subject matter advisor supporting the execution, quality, and continuous improvement of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program, with primary responsibility for independent control testing, knowledge transfer, and driving higher-quality outcomes across the program.

Essential Functions cont.:

  • Serve as a SOX subject matter expert, performing and overseeing independent testing of internal controls over financial reporting.

  • Provide technical SOX guidance and coaching to team members to enhance testing quality, consistency, and professional judgment.

  • Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness, identify deficiencies, and support clear, well-supported conclusions.

  • Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, documentation standards, and overall program quality.

  • Engage with key stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business functions to communicate testing results, resolve issues, and support timely and effective remediation.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision while influencing program effectiveness through expertise and leadership.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in accounting or finance-related discipline.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years experience in public accounting or the accounting department of a public company.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong accounting and reporting skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, project management and communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications: CPA License, SOX experience preferred

Pay: $5,638.08 USD/month - $11,276.15 USD/month

Additional Details: The desired locations for this position would be Collierville, TN or Plano, TX. This position may be eligible for relocation.
