Postdoctoral position available to study mechanisms of vascular biology, lung injury and lung fibrosis in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The Knipe Lab is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic post-doctoral candidate to work on a funded project investigating mechanisms of endothelial cell dysfunction in the context of fibrosis in the lungs. We are interested in strategies to improve endothelial function in the context of fibrotic lung diseases like scleroderma associated ILD and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This project involved both animal modeling of lung disease (mice) and in vitro cell culture work with human microvascular endothelial cells.
