Part-Time Dietitian Opportunity - Arbour Hospital - Quincy

The Dietitian, in collaboration with Dietary services, acts as a resource to dietary staff to ensure delivery of a nutrition care program in accordance with standards established by Arbour.

At Arbour Hospital - Jamaica Plain, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the residents of the greater Boston area since 1909. Our medical staff consists of psychiatrists who average 20 years of practice at our facility, providing a solid and trusted foundation for our patient-focused approach to behavioral healthcare. We are an important community resource for a wide range of vital behavioral healthcare services. We treat primary psychiatric and substance abuse disorders and constantly strive to meet the needs of our communities with treatment that address individualized behavioral health needs. We stand ready to provide compassionate care through inpatient treatment and a strong continuum of aftercare services, community-based programs, and day treatment.

Job Summary

  • Appropriately identifies patients at nutrition risk.
  • Assesses diet order based on patient's age, current
  • Effectively utilizes the medical record to obtain pertinent objective data.
  • Accurately assess physical limitations which may compromise nutritional status.
  • Accurately calculates metabolic needs, i.e., energy protein, fluid, and/or other specific nutrients.
  • Recommends appropriate nutrition intervention based on subjective and objective data.
  • Completely follows through on recommendations made i.e., communication to physician, nutrition staff, nursing.
  • Assesses patients based on religious, cultural, and ethnic preferences.
  • Accurately documents the initial and ongoing assessment of patient's nutritional status and progress as determined by chart review.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Dietetics/Nutrition or related field required.
  • Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) inMA required
  • One to three years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian required.
