SUMMARY:
Under the leadership of the Director of HIM, the HIM Project Manager leads initiatives to improve the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of Health Information Management operations across all entities. This role evaluates targeted current-state workflows, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements sustainable process changes supported by clear documentation, metrics, and staff training. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assess current HIM workflows and identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and sustain process improvement strategies and standard work.
- Plan and facilitate Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement activities
- Partner with HIM leaders, frontline staff, and interdisciplinary teams to design and implement solutions aligned to organizational goals.
- Define, monitor, and report performance metrics; analyze results to evaluate the impact of changes and guide next steps.
- Develop training materials and train staff to learn new workflows, procedures, and best practices; reinforce adoption and sustainment.
- Ensure HIM processes and documentation support compliance with applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and stakeholder communications.
- Use data analytics and process mapping to support decision-making and prioritize improvement opportunities.
- Document current and future-state workflows, policies, procedures, and control plans; maintain records of process changes.
Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in Health Information Management operations and/or process improvement in a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with data analysis, process mapping, and documentation tools.
- Working knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, and standards applicable to HIM.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate change.
- Project management experience, including planning, execution, and status reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Epic experience and Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement certification. preferred SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. Pay Range: $90,729.60-$149,697.60
