We're seeking a Tooling & Die Development Engineer to play a critical role in supporting tooling design, build, and launch readiness within a fast-paced, high-impact manufacturing environment. • Pay: $46.06/hr

What You'll Do

• Support tooling design reviews to ensure manufacturability and robust production processes
• Monitor tool construction progress and ensure alignment with program requirements and standards
• Coordinate tool tryout activities and support die prove-out to achieve dimensional quality and run-at-rate targets
• Identify and resolve tooling issues impacting timing, quality, or manufacturability
• Support build events, PSW readiness, and key launch milestones
• Track tooling risks, including Yellow Items, and drive resolution activities
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and tool shops to ensure tooling readiness
• Document tooling concerns and support corrective action implementation

What You Bring

• Strong background in stamping tooling construction, tryout, and die development
• Experience working with automotive tool shops and production stamping processes
• Solid understanding of die build, tryout, and production readiness requirements
• Ability to identify tooling risks and support resolution strategies
• Experience working within structured tooling or launch processes (such as STS or similar frameworks)
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
• Experience supporting automotive program launches
• Familiarity with global tool shop operations
• Understanding of dimensional validation and part quality requirements
• Exposure to continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing methodologies
