Job Overview Title: Aerospace Drylube/10-85 Painter - 1st Shift Reports to: Shift Supervisor or Value Stream Manager Location: Kent, WA - onsite Type: Non-Exempt, Full-Time Schedule Type: 1st Shift Hytek production is open 24 hours per day. Normal Shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.), 3rd shift (Sunday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.) Full benefits package includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) matching, Performance Share incentive compensation (Profit Sharing Plan), 3-weeks paid time off to start, paid community service day, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, short term disability, long term disability, life insurance, long-term care plan options, 10 paid holidays, and onsite health services that includes access to a massage therapist. Salary Range for position: $ 21.80 - 24.80. The pay range and total compensation package listed above is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Position Summary Employees in this position will apply a variety of maskants to parts in preparation for Dry-Lube/10-85 paint application. Maskers may be required to join the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program. Maskers perform operations in accordance with Military and OEM specifications. FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program requires an initial pre-employment drug test including a screen for THC, subject to quarterly Drug & BAT testing. Why Join Us? Key Responsibilities Plans the production for the shift by analyzing what parts are to be painted and coordinating the flow of parts to maximize quality and productivity. Assigns tasks to lower-level employees in the department. Receives parts to be painted from paint assistant or coordinator. Verifies what processes are to be completed. Work closely with Paint Assistants and other experienced Painters and Department Leads to complete work and prioritize tasks. Follow shop traveler, technique card, customer Purchase Orders, and instructions from experienced Operators and Department Leads. Mixes paint to specifications. Paints parts with the appropriate thickness as described on the specifications. Verifies paint thickness using an Isoscope. Paints by using the best technique to maximize quality and productivity. Moves racks or parts between the staging area and oven. General review of paperwork to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors. Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning. Prepare parts as called out in Purchase Orders and Tech Cards. Perform inspection, measuring, and testing or part surfaces as required. Maintain paint guns and paint booths ensuring cleanliness at the close of shifts. Perform pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements. Follow Quality Assurance requirements. Follow safety precautions as trained. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Pre-employment and annual physical exam required; ability to wear a respirator. Must have a regular and dependable attendance record. Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility. Education & Experience 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment a plus. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals. Temperature fluctuations based on outdoor conditions.
