DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the careful review and processing of cases related to restoring Pennsylvania driver privileges. The role requires strong attention to detail along with consistent application of laws and procedures. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Case Review: Review cases and determine whether customers meet requirements for restoring driving privileges
  • Law Interpretation: Interpret provisions of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code to ensure actions follow legal standards
  • Record Updates: Enter updates into driver and non-driver records by processing forms and documents received
  • Quality Checks: Verify accuracy of completed work and provide feedback to support consistent quality
  • Fee Processing: Handle fees and ensure they are recorded and delivered within required timeframes
  • Customer Support: Respond to inquiries by researching records and providing clear information

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
