You will join a lean, high-impact, supportive team dedicated to transforming our manufacturing landscape. Working closely with engineers or project managers, this position will help develop advanced manufacturing equipment, product testing equipment, and testing fixtures to evaluate design concepts, etc. This includes design, modeling and detailing using CAD modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor. This position will have plenty of opportunities to experience the full equipment development cycle-From identifying the customer needs to commercializing the equipment solutions to meet these needs. There will be plenty of opportunities for growth.

What you'll be doing:

*Working closely with engineers or project managers to develop advanced manufacturing equipment and testing equipment

*Design fixtures to evaluate concepts and test them

*Model designs and create detailed drawings for the designs

*Work with engineers and suppliers to select the effective components-Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics, etc.

*Work with machine shops and suppliers to get all parts fabricated and component purchased

*Work with technicians, engineers to assemble, testing, debugging the equipment

*Facilitate or lead field installation in production plants

*Perform design improvement based on the learnings from the field

*Etc.

*Acquiring/learning various fabrication techniques/methodology, material properties, component performance characteristics to help achieving a design with most effective performance to cost ratio

We'd love to hear from you if:

*You have a 2 year associate degree in mechanical design related subject

*Youare proficient in CAD modeling software (Autodesk Inventor is our standard CAD modeling software)

*You be open to learning and exploring better ways of doing things

*You are patient and able to stand the rigor of selecting and shaping design concept through multiple design iterations

*You are open minded and objective. You are willing to listen to the reasonings of other people and other people's ideas without being too attached to your own ideas.

*Experience with and knowledge about AC motors and control, general electrical components/system control, PLC, electronics, etc., is a plus

*Always be open to learning and exploring better ways of doing things

*You have good time management skills and are able to stay focused on most important items

*You like to work with an innovate team in an environment that supports and encourages meaningful innovation.

Compensation:

This is a progression position, and can be a Level I, II, III depending on experience and business needs.
