RN/LPN Clinic Team Lead

Our clinics are open Monday - Friday during the day. Our Team Lead roles work along side a physician set days of the week. We will consider an LPN or RN for this role. Pay is commensurate with experience per RN or LPN designation within our established pay ranges.

RN ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving abilities in complex situations.

  • Ability to work within the budget and productivity targets to meet organizational objectives. Participates and supports the plans in place for selection of staff, evaluation of staff, orientation of new staff, continued education and development of staff, competency evaluation of staff, appropriate scheduling of staff based on patient acuity.

  • Supports and partners with the Manager/Clinical Leader and ensures the knowledge, skills, and behaviors of staff are consistent and in alignment with the goals of the unit.

  • Outstanding relationship building skills.

  • Must possess strong physician relationship skills.

  • Patient focused with a strong commitment to delivering the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer service. Is accountable for achievement of patient satisfaction (PressGaney and HCAHPS) action plans to achieve targets for their areas of responsibility.

  • Supports process improvement in operations, quality, and organizational change identified for their areas.

  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards for their areas of responsibility.

  • Able to communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals and groups through compassion, creativity, and consistent visibility.

  • Participates in hospital and department committees.

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and mentoring staff and colleagues.

  • Leads by example, consistently demonstrating highly professional behavior. Demonstrates personal and professional accountability and holds others to the same.

  • Exhibits a passion for nursing

  • Serves as a role model and coach for Critical Moments of Service Standards and service recovery.

  • Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, may include shared governance.

  • Utilizes critical thinking in regard to patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates to the appropriate chain of command.

  • Supports the professional nurse continuum and nursing clinical ladder for RNs (CARE)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program. If hired prior to 1-1-14 in Winnebago County and prior to 9-1-15 in Rock, Walworth and McHenry Counties an ADN only is required. May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify (per department guidelines). Certification in specialty preferred. Must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of progressively responsible hospital nursing experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Licensed as an RN in the State of practice

Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days (Other certifications per unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, NALS)

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal/communication and conflict resolution skills. Genuine concern for people. Strong verbal communication skills. Adept listener with the ability to interpret concerns.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, intermediate computer knowledge is required.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

May include color blind test (per department guidelines)

LPN Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs duties of LPN.

  • Revises, develops and implements policies and procedures and monitors compliance with the same.

  • Interview, supervises and evaluates personnel of assigned units.

  • Schedules unit personnel to assure efficient patient flow.

  • Participates in planning and promoting public relations.

  • Is flexible to work alternate shifts.

  • Manages departmentalized budgets involving staff and materials.

  • Participates in planning and implementing PI's and Quality initiatives.

  • May need to work overtime on more than an occasional basis.

  • Education and Experience

    Graduate of an accredited LPN Program OR

    Wisconsin: Have completed the portion of the RN Program needed to obtain a certificate of completion in practical nursing.

    Illinois: Have completed the designated curriculum of a Ladder Option Approved Designated RN Program.

    Three years of LPN experience in a clinical setting, preferably with some supervisory experience

    Certification and Licensure

    Valid Wisconsin License, CPR Certification

PAY RANGE:

$62,396.55 - $131,729.48
