The Opportunity
Youth INC is seeking a Director of Individual Giving and Corporate Partnerships to lead and grow philanthropic investment from individual donors and corporate partners across New York City. At a pivotal moment in the organizations evolution, this role will play a central part in advancing Youth INCs strategic priorities by expanding and diversifying revenue through strengthened individual giving and deeper corporate engagement. The Director will partner closely with the Chief Development Officer to bring this vision to life.
In collaboration with the CDO and Development team, the Director willidentify, cultivate,solicit, and steward a dynamic portfolio of supporters. This role is focused on building a sustainable, high-performing pipeline that strengthens long-term investment in Youth INCs mission. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful and strategic leader who approaches their work with curiosity, builds authentic relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, and is motivated by the opportunity to drive meaningful, lasting impact.
Primary Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Partner with the CDO to design and implement fundraising strategies aligned with Youth INCs strategic goals.
- Develop targeted engagement and solicitation plans for individual and corporate donors.
- Serve as a thought partner on individual giving strategy and donor engagement initiatives.
Relationship Management & Fundraising
- Manage a portfolio of individual and corporate donors, including cultivation,movesmanagement, and solicitation.
- Lead corporate philanthropy efforts, including sponsorships, foundation giving, workplace giving, and employee engagement.
- Build andmaintaina strongprospectpipeline in partnership with the Development team.
- Stay informed on philanthropy and industry trends and apply insights to relationship and solicitation strategies.
- Act as a knowledgeable representative of Youth INCs mission and funding priorities with donors and partners.
Events & Sponsorships
- Oversee corporate-facing fundraising and engagement events.
- Maintain sponsorship materials and lead corporate sponsor solicitation efforts.
- Support major organizational events, including the Celebration Gala, as needed.
Associate Board Management
- Manage the Associate Board to achieve annual recruitment, engagement, and fundraising goals.
- Lead Associate Board initiatives, events, and corporate engagement activities.
- Maintain the Associate Board Charter and oversee member records, participation, and give/get tracking.
Qualifications:
- 10+years in nonprofitdevelopmentor related fields, ideallyhaving experience insolicitingmajor gifts and managing donor portfolios
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in developmentor business operations
- Demonstrated experiencestewardingrelationships withinternal andexternal stakeholders, including staff, board members, corporate supporters, and donors
- Proven leadership in developing and executing individual giving strategy and initiatives
- Strong communicationskills, skilled in crafting messages and producing compelling presentation materialsfor diverse audiencesto bolster fundraising efforts
- Embrace challenges and adopt new responsibilities with creativity, initiative, and self-direction
- Team player, enthusiastic about collaboration and participation in organizational initiatives
- Experience using: Microsoft Suite including Share Point, Excel,Power Pointand Outlook; Salesforce or similar CRM; Monday or similar project management platform; and Rel Pro,iWave, or similar prospect research platform
- Based in New York City or surrounding areas and as such is available to attend in person meetings, events, and office working days in New York City as is needed
- Knowledge offundraising best practices and New York financial sector a plus
Compensation, Benefits and Location
- Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000, depending on experience, annual merit, and bonus eligible.
