Join our dedicated and caring team of professionals and make a difference in the communities we serve as a Behavioral Health Therapist for our Substance Use, Motivation, Medication Integrated Treatment (SUMMIT) program.In this clinical social work role you will provide therapy to patients, which includes providing clinical interventions using treatment with individuals, teens, families, and groups, as well as crisis intervention and assessment at the Venice Family Clinic. There may also be an opportunity to supervise a graduate student. This therapist works closely with the SUMMIT case managers and counselors, other behavioral health staff, medical staff, and community partners. This role will be comprehensive, serving patients of all ages, and the on-call work may include triage for patients who are unhoused, who have severe mental health challenges, and/or who are struggling with substance use. Ongoing psychotherapy will be a hybrid model of telehealth and in-person.

Note this position will be based at our Inglewood location but will also work at our location in Gardena, CA.

LCSW Salary Range: $116,157.21 - $138,810.24 Annual

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited School of Social Work or Social Welfare.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and advanced Spanish communication skills.
  • Demonstrated work experience with individuals struggling with substance use.
  • Skill at assessing the psychological needs of indigent populations.
  • Demonstrated work experience in individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Working knowledge of California child abuse reporting laws.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to diffuse patients who become agitated.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of community mental health and social services.
  • Skill at developing treatment and case management plans.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate problem-solving and program implementation.
  • Working knowledge of diverse cultures and the low-income population, including the homeless.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs.
  • Ability to percept, supervise, and evaluate MSW interns.
