QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or commerce, or equivalent of 5 years in LTL transportation, freight operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
Strong customer service background, preferably in transportation or B2B service environments.
Proven ability to analyze trends, identify risk, and proactively mitigate customer issues.
Experience collaborating with operations, sales, or customer-facing teams.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and influence skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
Preferred operational logistics or cargo handling experience
Preferred experience supporting national or corporate-level customer accounts.
Knowledge of LTL pricing structures, routing guides, and freight handling best practices.
Self-motivated and customer-oriented

The Advisor - Corp Local is responsible for supporting facility level retention and activation performance across a defined portfolio of corporate customer locations. This role engages directly with customer decision makers and internal partners to stabilize volume, sustain agreed service commitments, and address execution issues that impact freight performance.
Operating with moderate autonomy, the Advisor monitors shipment trends, identifies early indicators of erosion, and partners with Operations and Corporate Account Management to resolve service, process, or routing barriers. The Advisor serves as a developing subject matter resource in local freight execution and plays a critical role in making it easy for customers to do business with FedEx Freight while ensuring committed revenue is realized.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer stakeholders at the local facility level.
  • Monitor account performance for early signs of shipment decline or activation shortfalls.
  • Actively work with customers to help activate shipment volume at or above levels committed during the most recent pricing agreement.
  • Identify and address execution barriers that prevent customers from fully routing freight to FedEx Freight as intended.
  • Engage customers and internal partners to stabilize volume and reinforce routing guide and service commitments.
  • Communicate localized customer feedback and competitive insights to CAM and Corporate Local leadership.
  • Partner with Operations teams to address service issues and execution challenges.
  • Support activation sustainment by addressing process gaps and reinforcing agreed shipping behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams to resolve basic digital or systems related barriers.
  • Identify freight profile or handling issues that impact service quality or operational efficiency.
  • Assist customers with accessorial awareness, billing questions, and shipping best practices as appropriate.
  • Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
