The Supply Chain Manager develops and monitors the facility supply chain strategy. The Supply Chain Manager works to improve productivity and efficiency and reduce costs while securing high quality material. This position is responsible for managing raw material inventory and purchasing finished goods, factory supplies, and any other items that require purchase orders. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for completing these tasks in a timely, efficient manner with required follow-up inquiries to ensure that the production schedule is met for service requirements to customers.
Additional Information:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, on call on the weekends and flexibility based on business need
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access to confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.
  • Develop and implement a total "systems" materials management program at the plant
  • Maintain responsiveness to production requirements and to obtain the best possible quality and price
  • Manage finished goods inventories at all locations to meet or exceed service goals
  • Develop and execute monthly production plans
  • Place orders in assigned plants
  • Track/expedite orders to precisely meet demand while maximizing plant efficiency through finite scheduling
  • Monitor timeliness of Plant/Distribution and Shipping Center (DSC) shipments
  • Develop, plan, and implement Production Inventory Control (PIC) training
  • Assist in planning redeployment of existing inventories to rebalance inventory to current demand
  • Create programs and production reporting systems to track critical metrics for location
  • Work with operations, DSCs, and vendors to ensure service and cost goals are met
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree or higher and have at least five (5) years of work experience in a Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations role

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have prior work experience using MRP (Material Resource Planning) and MPS (Material Production Scheduling) systems
