Overview

The Quality Department Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Quality/Regulatory/Patient Safety department by performing a variety of administrative tasks, conducting thorough medical record reviews, analyzing quality-related data, and maintaining Excel-based Quality Plans. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
Qualifications

Certifications: IHI Open School Basic Certificate in Quality and Safety within 1 year - Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)

Education: College Diploma: Healthcare Management/Related Field

Work Experience: Related field


Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the Quality, Regulatory, Patient Safety department by managing schedules, correspondence, and departmental documentation.Conduct comprehensive medical record reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established quality standards.Maintain and update Excel Quality Plans, tracking progress and supporting quality improvement initiatives.Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and audits as required by the Quality/Regulatory team.Send committee meeting notices, reminders, and distribute minutes; prepare presentations, take minutes, create agendas, and compile supporting documents for various committees, including but not limited to: Quality Management Oversight Committee (BroMenn and Eureka), Professional Practice Committee, Patient Safety Committee, Infection Prevention Committee, Utilization Review Committee, Ethics Committee, and others.Identify and communicate with key personnel within the Carle organization who interact with the Quality/Regulatory/Patient Safety department.Compiles monthly statistical reports and forwards to appropriate committee meeting or administration as needed.Schedules appointments, processes mail, answers phones, and keeps Quality, Regulatory, and Patient Safety personnel advised of meetings and appointments.Provide logistical and functional support for regulatory surveys, including preparing, reviewing, and maintaining compliance documents, as well as tracking deadlines and submissions.Serve as Policy Tech Administrator and Publisher, Regulatory Mock Surveyor, and ISO Auditor.Schedule appointments, process mail, answer phones, and keep Quality personnel informed about meetings and appointments.Maintain organizational charts.Coordinate requests, order supplies, and manage inventory for the Quality, Regulatory, Patient Safety and Care Management departments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $18.51per hour - $29.99per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
