The Koch Industries Atlanta Flight Department is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to assume responsibility for assigned aircraft and serve as a subject matter expert in determining airworthiness in accordance with 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airworthiness Directives, and manufacturer Service Bulletins.

This role is a selfstarter and independent decisionmaker with Flight Release authority, responsible for administering the aircraft maintenance program to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational reliability.

The team works closely across maintenance, flight operations, and technical operations to ensure aircraft availability, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional safety culture.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for aircraft airworthiness, ensuring FAA compliance and safe return to service for assigned business aircraft.
  • Perform and oversee aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and preventive maintenance across airframe, powerplant, avionics, and electrical systems.
  • Administer the aircraft maintenance program, including maintenance planning, discrepancy resolution, MEL management, and flightrelease decisions.
  • Manage aircraft software, navigation databases, maintenance tracking systems, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance activities to align maintenance, flight operations, and technical operations.
  • Review, certify, and audit aircraft maintenance records, logbooks, and flight logs for regulatory and company compliance.
  • Support flight operations by launching and recovering aircraft, performing postflight inspections, and debriefing flight crews.
  • Oversee parts procurement, inventory management, GSE readiness, and vendor maintenance.
  • Lead maintenancerelated projects and communicate operational risks, delays, or impacts to maintenance leadership.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Professional working experience as an Airframe & Powerplant mechanic.
  • Airframe & Powerplant certification.
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment necessary to perform job assignments.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and crouch for extended periods while performing aircraft mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years' experience in Line Avionics/electrical troubleshooting and installation.
  • 5+ or more years' experience working as an A&P.
  • Knowledge of and experience with maintenance of corporate aircraft.
  • Knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, AD's, etc.
  • Textron 680A Latitude aircraft experience and system specific training.
  • Pratt & Whitney Engine 306D1 training.
  • Honeywell APU RE-100 training.
