Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Quitman offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, swing bed care, cardiopulmonary rehab, on-site physician clinics, and a sleep lab. Responsibilities The Clinical Coordinator directs and supervises the professional and other staff members assigned to the department, supports and interprets the mission of the hospital and promotes harmonious relationships among nursing personnel, medical staff, ancillary departments, patients and families. The Clinical Coordinator provides for the delivery of care to a specific group of patients and evaluates the quality of that care in a systematic fashion, in order to improve care. The care is delivered within the framework of hospital philosophy and approved budget, and in concert with other departments and services within and outside of the hospital. The Coordinator must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate from an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the State of Texas. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care ACLS Required PALS Required The ability to operate critical care equipment (i.e., monitors, pumps, ventilators) Must possess standard critical care skills commensurate with the flight nursing profession. Must become proficient in the operation of VHF and 800 System radio equipment. Must become proficient in the use of the Global Positioning System. The ability to make major and critical decisions in the absence of medical and/or supervisory direction Preferred Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Three (3) years of ER experience
