We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join HDR's Tax Team as a Staff Tax Accountant. As a member of our tax department, you will play a crucial role in supporting various tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliation responsibilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation and filing of U.S and international corporate income tax returns
* Perform month end close activities including preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries related to the HDR's tax obligations.
* Collaborate with the international tax department and external tax firms to gather and organize necessary data for tax compliance reporting.
* Coordinate with various corporate functions, including Treasury, Finance, Accounting, and Legal on tax matters.
* Assist with responses to tax audits including gathering supporting documentation.
* Assist with the preparation and filing of property tax returns
* Assist with Business Licenses and Annual Reports as well as other informational reporting
* Proactively research and analyze tax rules and implications associated with HDR's U.S. activities.
* Assist in special projects related to HDR's U.S. and international tax profile.

Essential Qualifications:

* Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
* Positive attitude and desire to be part of successful team.
* Self-motivated and detail oriented
* Must be able to work independently, handle interruptions, and shift priorities, as needed.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS applications

Preferred Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
* Prior experience with corporate taxation or accounting
* Familiarity with tax laws and tax administration
* Knowledge of and familiarity with ERP systems, e.g., Oracle
* Mix of public accounting and industry experience
* CPA or CPA candidate
