Security Officer - Afternoon Museum Patrol

As a Security Officer - Afternoon Museum Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a renowned art museum, where you will patrol galleries and public areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist guests with exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity, offering directions and information while supporting established rules for visitors, deliveries, and/or after-hours access.
• Support the protection of artwork, exhibits, and other property by observing visitor activity, reporting policy violations, and assisting with crowd management during events, busy hours, and/or special programs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
