Your Role

The Cash Applications Intern will work with the Cash Applications Shared Services team learning accounts receivable, cash applications concepts, principles and processes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely posting of payments received from lockbox, credit cards, wires, in house checks
  • Assist in the preparation of remote check deposits
  • Identify and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Review lockbox and electronic payments within JPMorgan Receivables Online to ensure remittance completeness
  • Assist in resolving suspense balances, unapplied payments, AR adjustments, reversing the application of returned checks and credit card chargebacks
  • Assist in verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data
  • Support suspense reduction project by reviewing & responding to suspense letters & daily retrieval of suspense calls
  • Gather documentation related to discrepancies and help resolve clients billing issues
  • Handling preparation of adjustments and refunds
  • Special projects as directed by management

Your Qualifications

  • Interest, coursework and/or experience in Business or related area

  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on simultaneous projects or initiatives
  • Ability to multi-task and transition between tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good analysis, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft Office a must

The salary range for this role is $18/per hour. Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate's experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position.Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New Jersey Salary Transparency Law.
