| Position Highlights |
The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson (COM-T) is, in collaboration with the Sarver Heart Center, actively seeking a dynamic individual for a non-tenure-track Associate Research Professor position. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative, externally funded research program centered on cardiometabolic disease, mitochondrial metabolism, and cardiomyocyte proliferation/regeneration. CMM is renowned for its strengths in the molecular basis of complex diseases, genome function, intracellular trafficking, and cardiac biology. Applicants whose research integrates these areas to advance our understanding of developmental metabolic factors, metabolic reprogramming of cardiac cells, and mitochondrial control of cardiac function to enhance repair after myocardial injury are particularly encouraged to apply. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Establish collaborations with UA colleagues within CMM and the Sarver Heart Center.
- Participating in the development and conduct of innovative and significant research.
- Bring extramural funding to support research projects.
- Produce strong, peer-reviewed publications.
- Provide instruction in professional, graduate, and undergraduate degree programs as assigned.
- Participate in appropriate departmental events, including seminars, retreats, and meetings.
- Participate in COM-T events.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- PhD in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated track record of distinction in teaching and/or research in an academic department of medicine or equivalent environment.
- Successful
track record of working with trainees and students

- Evidence of active scientific research, including peer-reviewed articles and extramural funding.
