CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

The Product Stewardship Specialist supports the corporate Raw Material team to collect, review, and enter raw material data. The scope of the role supports data management for all raw materials globally. The Specialist executes critical business processes such as supplier regulatory data collection campaigns, raw material data validation, and raw material system maintenance.

Duties included, but not limited to:

(1) SUPPORT REGULATORY ASSESSMENT OF RAW MATERIALS AND FINSIHED GOODS:



  • Learn applicable regulations
  • Complete raw material regulatory reviews
  • Update or enter appropriate data in relevant IT system
  • Ensure that newly evaluated raw materials are integrated into supporting regulatory systems with information that is complete and accurate.
  • Assign/Classify new code requests by chemical composition and associated hazards per region.
  • Confirm and maintain all raw material chemical, physical, health and environmental data in the systems.
  • Ensure all documentation is provided and electronically stored.
  • Confirm materials are in compliance with requested region prior to code assignment.
  • Support AP/Outside Buy/Blending Facility requests. Work with Product Data team to provide timely turnaround to customer.
  • Perform regulatory reviews of existing RM code requests via a Shared Spreadsheet and Mateval inbox.
  • Assist with implementation of any upcoming acquisitions.


(2) CUSTOMER SUPPORT:



  • Respond to internal customer inquiries on routine issues.
  • Consult with team members to ensure understanding of potential issues.
  • Utilize chemical and raw material knowledge to provide support to other teams within Product Stewardship (Business Stewardship, Trade Compliance, Toxicology, Product Data, Product Compliance, and Chemical Compliance).
  • Support raw material questions/issues from SW labs and manufacturing facilities.


This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113, USA IL Chicago Office 8725 W Higgins Rd. Chicago IL 60631, USA MN Minneapolis Campus 1101 South 3rd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior experience through employment or internship in a regulatory, compliance, technical, product support, or customer service role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Skilled in data entry accuracy.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, other Physical Sciences or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or similar function.
  • Proficiency in formulation and regulatory software.
  • Foundational understanding of regulatory frameworks, technical data interpretation, or scientific principles relevant to the role.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, regulations, or technical documentation with strong attention to detail
  • Experience within Sherwin-Williams will also be considered.
