Job Summary:
The successful candidate will support SSEC's mission by providing post-award accounting support for SSEC's numerous grants and contracts, including financial reporting, invoicing, and effort reporting. This position will interface with a wide variety of internal and external customers to ensure accuracy within the accounting system. This position will work with the Pre- and Post-Award team to manage the reporting, invoicing, and time keeping of over 200 faculty, staff and students in compliance with University, Sponsor, State, and Federal regulations. The position will also back-up other Business Office personnel as necessary. This position is located in the Business Services - Accounting operational area. This position is being posted at the Accountant 1 and 2 levels. Level and pay are commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for any of the following: 40% remote work. Remote work requires an approved flexible work arrangement (FWA) agreement. An FWA requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on a university provided computer. Per University policy, transportation between home and assigned work location is not payable/reimbursable and will be at the expense of the employee. Key Job Responsibilities:
Compensation: Starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications. Well-qualified applicants can anticipate starting at $50,000 annually, with final salary based on experience and qualifications.
