Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grinders
  • Reads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and products
  • Completes engineering changes and modifies molds
  • Troubleshoots and repairs molds
  • Prepares molds for production
  • Repairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needs
  • Prepares molds for storage following production runs
  • Design and build secondary fixtures
  • Works with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scales
  • Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT
  • Keeps a clean and safe work environment
  • Other duties as required




Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

Education and Experience:

  • Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required

  • 6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is required

  • At least 2 years machining experience

  • CAD/CAM knowledge is preferred

  • An ability to read prints and work with mathematical concepts

  • An ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude required

  • Basic computer skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.

  • Must be able to effectively interact with others

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $25.75/hr to $38.75/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
