We are seeking a Director of Fuel Logistics to lead fuel dispatch and transportation operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable delivery performance across the business. This role is responsible for dispatch leadership, transportation performance, regulatory compliance, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.


What You'll Do



  • Lead daily fuel dispatch and transportation operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries
  • Manage and develop dispatch personnel and logistics team members, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and customer service
  • Monitor routing, scheduling, fleet utilization, and transportation performance to maximize efficiency and service levels
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, environmental, and transportation regulations
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Supply, and Terminal Leadership to align logistics activities with business and customer objectives
  • Analyze operational metrics and transportation data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, and operational efficiency
  • Oversee dispatch coverage and driver scheduling to support customer demand and operational continuity
  • Resolve escalated operational, customer, and driver concerns
  • Lead performance management, coaching, employee development, and succession planning activities
  • Support strategic initiatives, process improvements, technology enhancements, and operational projects


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in fuel logistics, transportation management, dispatch operations, or a related field
  • Leadership experience managing logistics, dispatch, transportation, or operations teams
  • Experience leading high-volume transportation operations
  • Strong understanding of routing, scheduling, fleet utilization, and transportation best practices
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and transportation safety standards
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, telematics, and logistics technologies
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in fuel, petroleum, energy, or transportation industries
  • Experience supporting multi-site or regional logistics operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or a related field
