Job Description

GDS has an exciting opportunity for a Project Lead to join our consulting team within the Power Supply department. The ideal candidate would have a desire to learn or expand business fundamentals in the electric utility industry and will assist in providing consulting services to publicly owned and privately-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, industrial companies, municipalities, government agencies and solar and storage development companies. This position will support consulting engagements involving power supply planning, renewable resource evaluation, and energy advisory services for utilities, cooperatives, municipalities, and other market participants. This role partners with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate project execution, perform technical and economic analyses, and deliver client-ready work products.

Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Coordination



  • Plan and coordinate project subtasks across engagements
  • Track schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate across consulting teams


Power Supply & Renewable Analysis



  • Support power supply planning and portfolio modeling
  • Evaluate renewable and storage projects
  • Perform cost-benefit and market analyses


Analysis & Deliverables



  • Develop reports, models, and presentations
  • Translate technical results into client-ready materials


Client Engagement



  • Support client meetings and communications
  • Prepare draft materials and presentations

Experience and Skills

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience


Skills



  • Strong communication and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred



  • Experience with power supply or renewable analysis
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or VBA
  • Prior experience in support of, or in, a consulting role
