Principal Data Architect LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA Salary Range: *depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications JOB STATUS:Full-time CLEARANCE:Top Secret TRAVEL:Limited, as needed Astrion has an exciting opportunity for aPrincipal Data Architect providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM) located on Hanscom AFB in Bedford Massachusetts. Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM's main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime, and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
- Clearance:Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret Level Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI later on
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS / SKILLS:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties to inculde, but not limited to:
- Provide interoperability and data architecture support to ensure data consistency, reliability, and interoperability throughout the mission planning process.
- Design and maintain mission planning data architectures, schemas, and data packages supporting Government Program Office requirements and special interest programs.
- Support development of Mission Planning Order of Battle (MPOB) data schemas and recommendations for integrating new intelligence and mission planning data sources.
- Participate in technical meetings with Government, Intelligence Community, and mission partners to support mission planning data requirements and interoperability objectives.
- Serve as a senior integration analyst supporting mission planning interface control and interoperability working groups.
- Support interoperability for mission planning data formats including MPOB, ACTDF, Electronic Warfare (EW), Mission Planning Parametrics (MPP), and Common Route Definition (CRD).
- Coordinate with data providers, users, and owners to ensure data reliability, consistency, and governance across mission planning environments.
- Support schema development and updates to incorporate DoD and Intelligence Community standards and security marking requirements.
- Provide recommendations for enhancements to mission planning systems, data repositories, and order of battle capabilities.
- Serve as a technical advisor on mission planning data modernization initiatives, including data integration, cloud architectures, API implementation, and application modernization efforts.
- Design architectures and provide guidance for decomposing mission planning applications into containerized microservices and cloud-based environments.
- Support development of data visualizations, analytics solutions, and data quality assessments.
- Provide recommendations regarding security controls, accreditation requirements, and operation of systems within classified environments.
- Support operational planning, mission integration, automation, and data ingestion initiatives across mission planning platforms.
- Assist in the development of Information Support Plans (ISPs), architectural documentation, and interoperability artifacts required to support mission planning capabilities.
