Job Description




As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver CPO in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in an education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support a caring campus environment while delivering with teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $23.75 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, classrooms, administrative areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, report suspicious activity, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
  • Support campus operations by assisting with security-related checks, directional assistance, and communication with local authorities and/or site contacts when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
