Job Description




As a Security Officer Checkpoint Assessment Specialist in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will greet visitors, support entry screening activities, monitor assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and attentive communication. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and care for people.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, guests, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries at designated access points by verifying credentials, following entry procedures, and documenting security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, screening stations, and nearby areas for unusual activity, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Operate screening equipment and related access control tools in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious items, prohibited property, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access or disruption.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
