Position Summary
The UNC HTC Pharmacy is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Accountant to support key financial and revenue cycle functions across both UNC HTC operations and contract pharmacy partners. This role is responsible for auditing and reviewing billing charges, monitoring and following up on unpaid claims, and analyzing outstanding accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and timely resolution. The Accountant will generate clear, actionable financial reporting for internal leadership and external stakeholders, while also assisting with billing compliance, payor audit responses, and broader revenue cycle management activities. This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting program sustainability, and strengthening operational performance across the UNC HTC Pharmacy.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate's degree in accounting; or Associate's degree in business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
* Previous experience with financial management and University accounting systems
* Demonstrated experience with departmental financial budgeting and reporting
