Shift Premium: $1.50/hour extra for 2nd shift What you will be doing Work on the Extrusion Press Line and communicate and work effectively with fellow employees. Operate the saw and stretching equipment safely and productively while following work instructions and maintaining quality standards. Inspect material for squareness, flatness, bow, gauge and other specifications using micrometers, calipers, straight edges and gauges. Perform simple maintenance and troubleshoot common equipment issues to maintain safe and productive saw operations. Cross-train and provide backup support for the Press Operator and Head Stretcher as required. What will make you successful? Required Education/Experience: No prior work-related experience required. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to read and understand process sheets and follow detailed written instructions. Ability to follow all work and safety instructions. Ability to work long hours in seasonal temperatures. Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset. Forklift, Combi or other mobile equipment operating experience is an asset. Ability to use a calculator and read a tape measure. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Self-motivated, dependable and eager to learn and grow. Ability to safely operate production equipment and troubleshoot common equipment issues. Willingness to learn and cross-train on multiple production functions.
